What is Flat bar?
Flat bar is the plainest hot-rolled long product: a rectangle of steel, width 20–200 mm, thickness 3–25 mm, rolled with sharp square edges (unlike slit strip cut from coil, which has burred edges and a rounded shape) and supplied in 6 m bars to EN 10058. Its uses are as wide as fabrication itself — connection plates and gussets cut to length, straps and clamps, ladder rungs and stringers, gate and railing frames, bearing bars for grating, wear strips, lifting lugs, stiffeners, tank hoops, and the galvanized earthing strip (25×3, 30×3, 40×4, 50×6) that runs around every substation and building foundation. The 20–100 mm widths in S235JR are stocked everywhere in Turkey; wider bars, thicker bars and S355J2 come from the mill programme or are flame-cut from plate (marked as such on the certificate — rolled edge and cut edge are not the same for galvanizing or bending). We do not sell square or round bar; flat bar, angles and channels cover the fabrication range.

Certified to EN 10025-2, CE-marked under EN 10025-1; S235JR is the stocked grade — sections are mostly governed by stiffness and connection geometry, so the higher grades are ordered only where the design demands them.
Lengths, tolerances and stock
Length 6 m (+100/−0), 12 m on mill order for widths ≥ 60 mm. Dilovası stock: 20×3 to 100×10 in S235JR in the sizes listed; 120–200 mm wide, thicknesses above 12 mm and S355J2 from the mill programme in 1–3 weeks, or flame-cut from plate within days. EN 10058 tolerances: width ±0.75 mm (≤ 40) to ±2 mm (≤ 200), thickness ±0.3–1 mm, straightness ≤ 0.4 %, edge camber ≤ 0.4 %. Cut lengths ±2 mm on the shear.
Cutting, drilling and galvanizing
Shearing to length, CNC punching and drilling, bending (hoops, brackets, clamps), forging of ends, welding into frames and lugs, hot-dip galvanizing to EN ISO 1461 (earthing strip, railings) or blast-and-prime. Bar lengths and cut pieces are bundled separately with part numbers.

Rolled flat bar vs slit strip vs cut plate
Three products look alike and differ in the edge. Rolled flat bar (EN 10058) has square rolled edges, tight tolerances and no burr — best for galvanizing, bending and anything visible. Slit strip is cut from coil: cheaper, wider range of thicknesses, burred edge, camber — fine for welded fabrication. Flame- or laser-cut plate gives any width and thickness (also S355J2, wear plate) with a heat-affected edge — the route for wide or thick flats. Price
Flat bar is priced per ton on the bar list — the most economical hot-rolled product in the yard. The bands below split the stock sizes from the wide range; cutting, punching and galvanizing are quoted per piece or per ton.

Width (mm) × thickness (mm) × 0.00785 = kg/m; a 50×5 flat is 1.96 kg/m and a 100×10 is 7.85 kg/m — 47 kg per 6 m bar.
What is the price of flat bar per kg?
We quote per metric ton FOB Istanbul (see the band above); per kilogram it is the band divided by 1 000 — small cut and drilled parts are priced per piece.
Do you sell square bar or round bar?
No — our long-product range is flat bar, angles, channels, beams and hollow sections; square and round bars are not in our programme.
