Terms of sale

These terms apply to every offer and order of Omega Çelik trading as Omega Steel Co., unless a signed contract says otherwise.

1. Offers and prices

Website prices are indicative list prices in USD, excluding freight, insurance, duties and certificates, and change weekly. A written offer is valid for the period stated on it (normally 5 working days); the order is confirmed by our order confirmation.

2. Delivery

Incoterms 2020 as stated on the offer. Lead times are counted in working days from receipt of the advance payment and of all technical approvals (colour, cutting list, drawings). Partial shipments are allowed unless excluded in writing.

3. Quantity and tolerances

Quantity tolerance ±10% per item for coil and mill products, ±5% for cut and roll-formed products, invoiced on actual weight. Dimensions, weights and properties follow the standard cited on the offer (EN, ASTM, JIS) and the mill certificate.

4. Payment

As stated on the offer: advance by TT, balance against copy of shipping documents, or irrevocable letter of credit at sight confirmed by a first-class bank. Goods remain our property until paid in full.

5. Documents

Commercial invoice, packing list, transport document, certificate of origin and EN 10204 3.1 certificates are included. Market conformity certificates (SASO, QCC, EAC, SONCAP, COC and similar) are arranged at the buyer's cost unless included in the offer.

6. Claims

Visible defects and quantity differences must be notified within 14 days of arrival with photographs and the packing list; hidden defects within 3 months. Our liability is limited to replacement or credit of the defective goods and never exceeds the invoice value of the item.

7. Force majeure

Mill delays, port congestion, strikes, export or import restrictions and similar events outside our control extend the delivery time accordingly.

8. Law and jurisdiction

Turkish law; Istanbul (Çağlayan) courts and enforcement offices, or ICC arbitration in Istanbul if agreed in the contract.
