What is RAL 6009 PPGI sheet?
RAL 6009, Tannengrün, is a very dark blue-green with a light-reflectance value around 5 % — in shade it reads as black, in sunlight as deep pine green. Coil coaters build it on chromium-oxide green with a phthalocyanine blue shade and a little carbon black, all inorganic or highly stable pigments, so unlike bright greens it does not shift hue as it ages; what happens to a 6009 roof after ten years of sun is a slight greying of the polyester binder (chalking), which matt-textured PE hides and SMP or PVDF prevents. Its absorptance of about 90 % puts surface temperatures at 75–85 °C in a Gulf or Anatolian summer, so long panels are fixed with expansion allowance and roofs are insulated beneath. On the market it is the colour that planning authorities ask for in forests, national parks and coastal reserves, the standard green of steel fences and gates in Europe, of pergolas and carports, of military, border-post and hunting-lodge buildings, of agricultural sheds in wooded regions and of sandwich-panel walls that must blend with a tree line. The pigments of 6009 are stable — the hue does not drift to blue or yellow the way organic greens do; the risk is chalking of the binder on a hot dark surface. Matt-textured or SMP for anything seen from close by in strong sun.

Forming, cutting and handling
Roll-forms into fence, trapezoidal and corrugated profiles and folds at 1–2 × t with the film on; shears, slits and punches cleanly — plasma and laser burn the paint. Scratches on 6009 show as bright zinc against near-black, so the film stays on until the panel is fixed, cut edges are deburred and touched up with 6009 repair paint (supplied), and packs are stored under cover. Fence panels cut on our shear are supplied with film and deburred edges; do not weld pre-painted 6009 — rivet or screw.

RAL 6009 vs 6005 vs 6020
RAL 6005 moss green is warmer and lighter (LRV ≈ 8 %) — the agricultural and landscape green of the Balkans and Anatolia and our stock green for roofs; 6009 is darker and bluer, the fence and forest green that disappears among trees. RAL 6009 carries about 30 USD/t over the RAL 9002 base (chromium-oxide and phthalocyanine pigment loading); matt-textured adds 5–8 %, SMP 15–20 %, PVDF 30–40 %. Export and packing
We load RAL 6009 PPGI sheet as slit or master coils on cradles (VCI paper, strapped, 5–25 t) or as cut-to-length sheet on skids (≤ 3 t, interleaved, edge boards); a 20' container carries one coil to 20 t, a 40' HC two coils or 24 t of sheet. HS 7210 / 7209 / 7208.

Certificates and testing
RAL 6009 PPGI sheet is delivered with the mill certificate EN 10204 3.1 — heat number, ladle analysis, tensile and impact results and the delivery condition. Third-party 3.2 certification (Lloyd's, BV, TÜV, SGS), ultrasonic testing to EN 10160 and extra Charpy tests at a lower temperature are ordered per lot.
