What is RAL 5010 PPGI sheet?
RAL 5010, Enzianblau, is a saturated mid-dark blue with a light-reflectance value around 8 % — dark enough to hide dirt and rib shadows on a trapezoidal roof, bright enough to read as a corporate colour from the motorway. Coil coaters make it on copper-phthalocyanine blue pigment, one of the most durable organic pigments: unlike organic reds and yellows, phthalocyanine blues keep their hue for 10–15 years even in plain polyester, so 5010 is one of the few chroma colours safely specified in PE for a roof. Being a dark colour it runs hot — about 70 °C surface in summer — and chalks slightly in PE after 8–10 years of Gulf sun, which SMP or PVDF avoids. On the market it is the blue of warehouses, logistics and distribution centres, cold-chain plants and food factories (blue walls with white or grey roofs), of sandwich-panel façades, of slotted-angle shelving and racking, of steel doors and cabinets, and of many national and company liveries. We stock 5010 in 0.40–0.60 mm PE on 1 250 mm coil, roll it into trapezoidal 27/150 and 38/151, corrugated and sandwich-panel skins, slit it to width for shelving and door makers, and fold flashings from the same batch; SMP and PVDF are ordered per project.

Phthalocyanine 5010 in PE holds ΔE ≤ 3 after 10 years; chalking (not fading) is the ageing mode. Insist on phthalocyanine pigment in the coating certificate for any outdoor 5010.

Forming, cutting and handling
Roll-forms, folds at 1–2 × t and slits cleanly with the film on; shear, do not grind. Dark blue shows scratches as bright zinc — keep the film until installation and touch up with 5010 repair paint; store under cover. Phthalocyanine blue is chemically inert: it tolerates alkaline cleaners and mild solvents that would mark organic reds.

RAL 5010 vs 5012 vs 5013

RAL 5010 PPGI sheet ships with EN 10204 3.1 certificates cross-referenced to the stencilled heat numbers. Where the project requires it we arrange 3.2 certification with Lloyd's, BV, TÜV or SGS, ultrasonic examination to EN 10160 and Charpy testing at the temperature you specify.

Specify RAL 5010, thickness (TCT), width, coil or sheet length, coating system (PE stock / SMP / PVDF), zinc class, backing coat, film and quantity; ask for the pigment type on the certificate for outdoor use.
