What is RAL 9016 PPGI sheet?
RAL 9016, Verkehrsweiß, is a neutral-to-cool white with a light-reflectance value around 85 % — the brightest colour normally coil-coated, made on titanium-dioxide pigment with a trace of blue to cancel the yellow cast of the polyester binder. Its job is interiors: cold rooms, freezer rooms, food and pharmaceutical processing halls, clean rooms and the inside face of sandwich panels, where a bright, uniform, easily washed surface is part of the hygiene concept and where every percent of reflectance saves lighting. For these uses the top coat is specified as a food-contact-grade polyester (EU 10/2011 and FDA compliant, 25 µm, low-VOC, smooth and non-porous) and the backing coat is often upgraded to 12–15 µm so the panel can be washed from both sides; PVDF 9016 is used for clean-room walls and ceilings that see aggressive disinfectants. Outdoors 9016 is the white of doors, shutters, garage doors, refrigerated-truck bodies and appliance housings; on roofs it is rarely used because it glares and shows dirt where 9002 would not. We stock 9016 in 0.40–0.60 mm on 1 000 and 1 250 mm coil, roll it into flat, micro-ribbed and box-profiled panel skins for our PIR, PUR and rockwool sandwich-panel lines, and slit it to width for door and cabinet fabricators.

Whites do not fade — they yellow: a plain PE 9016 gains 1–2 ΔE of yellowing in 10 years indoors under fluorescent light; PVDF and HDP stay white. For cold rooms specify the food-contact grade and state whether the back face is also washed.

Forming, cutting and handling
Roll-forms into flat and micro-ribbed skins and folds at 1–2 × t with the film on; slits and shears cleanly; laser and plasma burn the coating. The bright surface shows every fingerprint and scratch — handle with gloves, keep the film on through panel foaming and until installation, and clean with neutral detergent (no chlorine on PE; PVDF tolerates disinfectants). Store dry and off the floor: white PE marks from condensation staining faster than any other colour.

RAL 9016 vs 9010 vs 9002
RAL 9010 pure white is warmer and slightly less bright — the exterior white of shops and offices; 9016 is cooler and brighter and is the interior hygiene white. Price
RAL 9016 carries a small premium over 9002 (about 15 USD/t for the higher TiO₂ loading); food-contact PE adds 5–10 %, PVDF 30–40 %. The bands below are the month's indicative FOB Istanbul ranges for 0.50 mm PE and the stock gauge range.

Export and packing
RAL 9016 PPGI sheet ships as coil — eye-to-sky on a wooden cradle, 5–25 t per coil, VCI paper and steel strapping — or as cut sheet on skids of 2–3 t with paper interleaving and edge protectors. A 20' takes one coil up to 20 t; a 40' HC two coils or 24 t of sheet. HS 7210 / 7209 / 7208 by product.
