Export logistics — container, breakbulk and truck from Istanbul
We ship from Ambarlı and Gemlik ports (sea), from Dilovası by truck (EU, Balkans, Iraq, Caucasus) and via the Baku–Aktau ferry (Central Asia). Every offer states the packing, gross weight and the documents required for the destination.
Container loading
20' payload 21.5 t, 40' HC 26.5 t (port and destination road limits apply). Coils are loaded eye-to-sky on cradles and lashed; sheets on pallets; sections and pipes bundled and chocked. Long products over 11.8 m go on flat-racks or breakbulk.
Breakbulk and flat-rack
Beams to 18 m, pipe to 12 m bundles, plate packs to 12 m: monthly breakbulk sailings to the Gulf and West Africa; flat-racks weekly.
Truck and rail
22–24 t per truck; weekly departures to Romania, Bulgaria, Serbia, Germany, Iraq (Habur) and Georgia/Azerbaijan; Caspian ferry Alat–Aktau for Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan; rail via Kars–Tbilisi–Baku for full block trains.
Documents and conformity
Commercial invoice, packing list, B/L or CMR, certificate of origin, A.TR (EU), EUR.1 (EFTA/UK), EN 10204 3.1 mill certificates. Market certificates handled before loading: SASO/SABER (KSA), ECAS/QCC (UAE), COC (Iraq), EAC (Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan), SONCAP (Nigeria), PVoC (Kenya), CE DoP (EU).
Insurance and payment
CIF shipments insured at 110% of invoice value, ICC(A). Payment by TT, confirmed L/C at sight, or open account for EU repeat buyers via our London office.
Frequently asked questions
How many tons fit in a 40' container?
26.5 t payload by the container limit, but most destination ports and roads cap at 24–26 t; coils are usually loaded at 24–25 t per 40' HC.
Do you handle SONCAP / SASO / EAC?
Yes — we hold product certificates for our main lines and arrange the shipment certificate with the inspection body before loading; the cost is shown as a separate line on the offer.
