CNC press-brake bending — folded parts and profiles to 4 m and 320 t
A cut part is rarely the finished part: it is a bracket, a cassette, a channel, a chute side once it has been folded. Our CNC press brakes fold what our lasers and plasmas cut — from 0.5 mm PPGI flashings to 25 mm S355 gussets — and the assembly leaves Dilovası as a kit of finished components on one pallet.
Machines and tooling
320 t × 4 100 mm and 110 t × 3 100 mm hydraulic CNC brakes with 6-axis backgauges, crowning and angle measurement; V-dies from 6 to 200 mm, gooseneck, hemming and radius tools; segmented tooling for boxes. Repeatability ±0.2°, angle tolerance ±0.5° after first-off correction.
Bending capacity and minimum radius
| Material | Thickness | Max. length | Min. inside radius | Note |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| PPGI / galvanized | 0.4–2 mm | 4 000 mm | 1 × t | flashings, cassettes; film-on |
| DC01 / DKP | 0.5–3 mm | 4 000 mm | 0.8–1 × t | cabinets, brackets |
| S235JR / S355J2 | 3–12 mm | 4 000 mm | 1–1.5 × t | brackets, channels, frames |
| S355J2 | 15–25 mm | 3 000 mm | 2–3 × t (L ≤ 3 m at 25 mm) | heavy gussets, machine parts |
| Stainless 304 / 316 | 0.8–10 mm | 4 000 mm | 1–1.5 × t | polished tools, film-on |
| AR400 / AR450 | 6–20 mm | 3 000 mm | 3–4 × t transverse | ground edges, slow bend |
| S690QL | 6–20 mm | 3 000 mm | 3 × t | high-strength; springback compensated |
| Aluminium 5754 | 1–8 mm | 4 000 mm | 1.5–2 × t |
Design rules for bent parts
- Minimum flange length ≈ 4 × t + inside radius (die width); shorter flanges need special tools
- Holes closer than 2.5 × t to the bend line will distort — add relief or drill after bending
- Bend reliefs at inside corners; hems and safety edges on thin sheet
- Bend direction relative to rolling direction matters on wear plate and S690QL
- Send a flat DXF plus a drawing with bend lines, angles and inside radii (or a STEP model — we unfold it)
Typical products
- Brackets, cleats, angles, channels and Z-sections cut and folded to drawing
- Façade cassettes, flashings, ridge caps, gutters and trims in PPGI (same batch as the roof)
- Cabinet and enclosure blanks in DC01 and stainless
- Chute, hopper and bucket sides in AR400 / 450
- Machine covers, guards and frames
- Folded corten planters and edging
Pricing and lead time
Bending is charged per bend by thickness and length (set-up included from 20 pieces) on top of cutting and material; typical rates 0.5–1.5 USD per bend on sheet, 3–10 USD on heavy plate. Lead time 2–5 working days after the cut parts, usually inside the material lead time. Folded parts are stacked interleaved on pallets; PPGI parts keep their film.
Frequently asked questions
What is the maximum plate you can bend?
25 mm S355 at 3 m length, 12 mm at 4 m; wear plate to 20 mm at 3 × t radius.
What tolerance on bend angle?
±0.5° after first-off correction, repeatability ±0.2°; flange lengths ±0.5 mm on sheet, ±1 mm on plate.
Do you bend PPGI without damaging the paint?
Yes — film-on, polished tools and radius ≥ 1 × t; flashings and cassettes come from the same coil batch as the roof.
Can you unfold a 3D model?
Yes — send STEP or SolidWorks / Inventor files and we produce the flat pattern with our K-factors.
