CNC plasma cutting — heavy plate parts 6–80 mm with bevels

Plasma is how heavy plate becomes parts at a plate price: above 12 mm it cuts three to five times faster than laser and costs half per metre, and with a bevel head it delivers weld-ready edges. Our two HD plasma tables take full 12 m plates, so gussets, base plates, flanges, liners, crane and machine parts are cut from the plate you buy from us and shipped together.

Machines and capacity

Two high-definition plasma tables 12 000 × 3 000 mm (400 A) with true-hole technology, one with a 5-axis bevel head (±45°), one with an oxy-fuel torch for 80–150 mm; water tables for fume control; about 500 t of parts a month.

Tolerances and bevels

Contour tolerance ±0.5 mm to 25 mm and ±1.0 mm to 80 mm (ISO 9013 class 3–4); kerf 2–5 mm; hole tolerance H12 with true-hole; bevel cutting V, Y, K and X preparations at 15–45° in one pass (double bevel by two passes), land 1–3 mm — what a butt weld to EN 1090 or a pressure vessel needs. Part numbers are plasma-marked or stencilled.

Pricing and lead time

Plasma cutting is charged per running metre by thickness (piercings included), bevels per metre extra; material at list price when we supply it. Typical rates: 2–4 USD/m for 10–20 mm, 5–9 USD/m for 30–50 mm, oxy-fuel 80 mm around 15 USD/m. Lead time 3–7 working days after drawing approval; heavy nests from stock plate within 48 h in urgent cases. Parts are stacked on pallets or bearers by drawing number.

Frequently asked questions

Plasma or laser — which should I choose?

Laser for ≤ 12 mm, tight tolerances and bright edges; plasma for 12–80 mm, bevels and large parts at lower cost per metre. We advise on receipt of the DXF.

Can you cut bevels for welding?

Yes — V, Y, K and X preparations at 15–45° with a 5-axis bevel head, weld-ready.

What tolerance does plasma give?

±0.5 mm to 25 mm and ±1.0 mm to 80 mm; bolt holes to H12 with true-hole technology.

What is the maximum thickness?

80 mm HD plasma, 150 mm with the oxy-fuel torch on the same table.
