Coil slitting — strip from hot-rolled, cold-rolled, galvanized and PPGI coil
We slit for ourselves — every tube, box section, purlin and omega profile we make starts as strip from our own slitting lines — and we slit for others: tube mills, roll-formers, stampers and fabricators who want strip of exact width from the coil we hold in stock, in lots from 5 t, without waiting for a mill slitting programme.
Lines and capacity
| Line | Thickness | Coil width | Coil weight | Strip width | Cuts | Speed |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Light line | 0.30–3.0 mm | 600–1 500 mm | to 20 t | 20–1 500 mm | up to 30 strips | 150 m/min |
| Heavy line | 1.5–6.0 mm | 800–1 500 mm | to 25 t | 40–1 500 mm | up to 15 strips | 80 m/min |
Both lines with loop pit, tension pad, scrap winder and turnstile; 4 000 t a month combined.
Materials
- Hot-rolled S235JR / S355J2 / DD11 (black and HRPO) 1.5–6 mm — tube and profile strip
- Cold-rolled DC01–DC04 0.30–3 mm — furniture tube, drums, stampings
- Galvanized DX51D–S350GD Z100–Z275 0.30–3 mm — purlin, omega, ducting, fence strip
- PPGI 0.35–1.2 mm — coil-coated strip for blinds, trims, fence panels (paper-interleaved)
- Stainless 304 / 430 0.4–3 mm — tube strip, trims (film-on)
- Aluzinc and ZM coated strip on request
Tolerances and edge quality
Width tolerance ±0.1 mm to 1 mm thickness, ±0.15 mm to 3 mm, ±0.25 mm to 6 mm (tighter than EN 10140 / EN 10051); burr ≤ 5 % of thickness with correctly set knife clearance; camber ≤ 1 mm per 2 m. Edge condition is checked per set-up and documented for tube-mill strip (burr side marked). Strip is recoiled to Ø 508 or 610 mm ID at the customer's coil weight (0.5–5 t per strip) or oscillate-wound on request.
Lots, packing and delivery
Minimum 5 t per width and gauge from our stock coil (20 t for customer coil); master coils from our own stock or the customer's. Slit coils are strapped, eye-to-sky or eye-horizontal on pallets, VCI-wrapped for sea freight, labelled with width, thickness, grade, heat and weight; narrow strip in rosettes on pallets. Lead time 2–5 working days from stock coil.
Pricing
Slitting is charged per ton by thickness and number of cuts on top of the coil list price (typically 15–35 USD/t); customer coil at the same slitting rate. The offer states coil price, slitting, packing and any oscillate-winding separately.
Frequently asked questions
What is the minimum strip width?
20 mm on the light line (to 3 mm thick), 40 mm on the heavy line (to 6 mm).
What width tolerance do you hold?
±0.1 mm to 1 mm, ±0.15 mm to 3 mm, ±0.25 mm to 6 mm; burr ≤ 5 % of thickness.
What is the minimum order?
5 t per width and gauge from our stock coil, 20 t when you supply the coil.
Can you slit PPGI without damaging the paint?
Yes — paper interleaving and tension control; strip is delivered film- or paper-protected.
