Process
Automatic roller-conveyor blast machine for plate up to 3 000 mm wide and sections up to 600 mm; surface preparation to ISO 8501-1 Sa 2½, roughness 40–70 µm. Coating within the same line: zinc-ethyl-silicate or epoxy shop primer, 15–25 µm dry film, weldable.
What it is used for
Structural plate and sections for steel-building fabricators, shipyard plate, tank plate and machinery bases. Primer colour grey or red-oxide; other systems (zinc-rich epoxy 60 µm) on request. Where the part is galvanized first and painted afterwards, the paint has to be specified for zinc, not for steel; the pre-treatment and primer choices for that combination are in paint over zinc, duplex systems.

Yes — 15–25 µm zinc-silicate or epoxy shop primer is designed to be welded through without removal.
What blast standard do you achieve?
Sa 2½ to ISO 8501-1 as standard with a 40–70 µm profile; Sa 3 on request for metallised or high-build systems.
How long can primed plate be stored before top-coating?
Zinc-silicate shop primer protects blasted steel for 6–12 months in covered storage; epoxy shop primer 3–6 months — top-coat within the overcoating window stated on the datasheet.
