CNC punching and beam drilling — holes by the thousand

When a part needs a hundred identical holes, a laser is the wrong tool: a turret punch makes them at ten a second, and a beam drill puts the bolt pattern in an HEA column while the next one is loading. Both stand next to our lasers, so the part gets whichever process is cheapest.

CNC turret punching

30 t hydraulic turret punch, 3 000 × 1 500 mm sheet (repositioning to 6 000 mm), 0.5–6 mm carbon and galvanized, 4 mm stainless, 40-station turret with indexing, forming tools (louvres, bridges, extrusions, countersinks, embossing) and nibbling; hole tolerance ±0.1 mm, 800 hits a minute. Used for perforated and louvred panels, brackets with hole patterns, enclosure parts, cable trays and shelving.

Perforated and louvred panels

Round, square, slotted and hexagonal perforations from Ø 2 mm (pitch to DIN 24041, e.g. Rv 5-8, Qg 10-15) in 0.5–4 mm galvanized, PPGI, aluminium and stainless — screens, sunshades, machine guards, acoustic panels and grain-dryer floors; louvres and bridge slots for ventilation covers. Sheets to 3 000 × 1 500 mm, margins and blank areas to drawing.

Pricing and lead time

Punching per hit or per hole (0.02–0.10 USD) plus set-up; drilling per hole by diameter and thickness (0.3–2 USD); perforated panels per m² by pattern and open area. Lead time 3–7 working days; beam drilling is scheduled with the section order so columns and beams leave drilled and marked.

Frequently asked questions

Punching or laser for holes?

Punching for many identical holes in sheet ≤ 6 mm and for formed features (louvres, countersinks); laser for complex contours, few holes or thicker plate.

Can you drill bolt holes in the beams I buy?

Yes — the 3-spindle beam drill puts end-plate, splice and base-plate patterns in IPE / HEA / UPN to 15 m, with part numbers scribed.

What perforation patterns are available?

Round, square, slot and hex from Ø 2 mm in standard DIN 24041 pitches and custom patterns, in 0.5–4 mm sheet.
